The Walls of Jericho
A small account originally wrote by my uncle in 1979 of growing up in between the wars in Sheffield.
Ted Furnace was my Grandmothers Brother. The stories are about conditions and lives of working class people like Ted who had to endure the fall out of two world wars and the depression to try and seek out a living in the 20s and 30s.
I would like to keep the memories alive a little longer by updating Ted’s original photocopied work.

“A brilliant account of life in Sheffield during the interwar years. I enjoyed the funny anecdotes, and poignant moments too. Great to be able to read this on kindle so that it can be accessed by more people. Thanks!”
