I see the Adobe Indesign CC Community are up in arms over the measly attention Adobe engineers have paid to the latest update. For people like me who do bookwork, the addition of Footnotes that span columns while working with a multi-column text frame or across entire documents is particular useful. The choice to span footnotes across columns is enabled by default created in the new update. However, This option is disabled by default for an existing document created in an earlier version.
www.adobeindesign you can go to link to see more information but if you have a creative cloud membership then you can update automatically from there.
There is also a new In-context menu for text frame selection where you can select open type properties to more than just one character Now, when you select a text frame or text in a text frame, InDesign identifies the applicable OpenType properties for the selected text and provides an option to apply them. I think this is pretty nifty as a lot of fonts now carry a lot of features, particularly impressive ampersands.
